resident artists 2021-2022

Hailing from Salem, Oregon, Micaela Edelson is a passionate writer of prose and poetry that aims to shed light on humanity’s prioritization of profit over people and our constructed relationship with the natural world. Micaela has studied and worked in the environmental field for a cumulative eight years and recently left to pursue a more fulfilling life working on a goat dairy to connect with the earth and at a public library to connect with her passion for the literary arts. Her work has been featured in a variety of literary journals, including Gothic Nature Journal, Sisyphus Magazine, and The Washington Post, among other platforms.  

Jenna Rose Marti is a New Media artist and Photographer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her work is a personal examination of trauma, spirituality, and memory within the context of magical realism, glitch, and ephemerality. Her work has been exhibited nationally across the United States and internationally and in the permanent collection of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Union Art Gallery.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Studio Art with an emphasis in Digital Studio Practice and a cross emphasis in Photography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
